The vaniyambadi is famous for leather tanneries and its associated jobs.In old vaniyambadi Lord SIVA Temple more than 1200 years old still in good condition regular poojas and marriage were happeningThe vaniyambadi  located in Palar river bed it is surrounded by three hills namely Elagiri, veeranam and  Nee nakana hills.It has got lot of Coconut trees on Palar river along side.The palar descend to plain land from here and joins in Bay of Bengal  in kanchipurma district.

It is historically reach for its freedom fighter who took part in the First Indian freedom fight so called Sipoy kalzagam in 1856.From here nearby place the Indian National flag designed and hoisted in Guidiyattram.

This town has been called in several names such as Vanipadi, Sariswathipuram, Vaniganpadi, Sathurvedimangalam, Perumbanarpadi and Iyumpugalur in historic period.

Here Lord Siva and Parvathi came as a Guest by sitting on top of the Cow to Vani’s sacred place.The vani offered food to them, on completion of their host, the Devotee Vani  sang rhyms towards  lord Siva and Parvathi  hence this place has been called as Vanipadi latter on in tradition it has been called in the name of Vaniyambadi

NANDISWARAR TEMPLE AT HILL TOP

               

The ruined NANDISWARAR temple at Hill top, monthly twice during Pradosam time the locals makes Pooja here, the temple renovation work hardly going on by locals peoples here. From this location the Entire view of vaniyambadi town and Ambur can be seen. Below you saw the  view of vaniyambadi from the temple, But for this you have to make 02 km Hard trekking in hills to reach the temple.

Senraya swami temple at Kavalur.Here snack burrow was there, the regular worship carried out later on in that place the VISHNU in swambu formed.It is typical Swambu temple of lord Vishnu. ALANGAYAM THEERTHAM:

From Alangayam just 3km in Odugatthur route, Here Lord Muruga, Lord Siva suambu and Pradhistay lingam both temples are there.It is said the suambu lingam keeps on growing.During night time here wild animals like elephant and other animals too comes here for water drinking purpose.During rainy season you can find water in Dam nearby to this temple.

The spring water having medicine properties taking bath in this holy pond refresh your body and mind, after taking bath making Pooja to God here is tradition followed. The lot of monkeys are available at temple premises, with love you can offer food items to these monkeys.

I visited last week  jalakandeshwarar temple inside the  vellore port
the below photos are taken at that time in its marriage hall premises inside the temple complex.This temple all around water will be there in olden times now days in dry condition.Kept in closed for many years without performing any ritual poojas opened for public one decade before.

Inside the port you can find the archeylogical musuem which descripes and have sculputure taken in and around North arcot dt.of tamilnadu.The sculpture and staues of 8th century onwards available.
                                                                 

Thiruvanamalai temple visit

In Thiruvanamali god has been manifest as lingam, hill and Joyti(Fire) in three forms is the specialty of Thiruvanamali isthalam.

As per purana the Lord Siva Had given darshan to Lord Brama and Visnu, while Brama try to see His head and Vishnu try to see His feet but neither Brama nor Visnu could find His head as well as feet, after wards lord Siva become Jyoti and given darsan to Brama and Visnu, then cooled and settled us mountain in this place to give Darsan to all of us. Hence this hill has been considered as Lord Siva here. Here the Arunachala hill itself considered as LINGAM, hence making Girivalam around the hill will purify us. In this hill top normally no one allowed to go, during Karthigai Deepam time only people alight on hill top.

Famous writer Pal brandan says In his book in this hill the individual gods sitting in Tapus  and couple gods loves each other and mountain is occupied with rich spiritual souls and very powerful.

 It is one the oldest mountain in the world and being alive, it has got movement in its core and hence called as Hollow hill by researcher of foreign people. From this hill the light illumination happening always, the vibration around the hill powerful one can feel the same during Girivalam time. As per Purana the hill has got many connectivity to lord Siva temple from here, this can be assessed by Spirituals souls by their Sutchama body. Many rishis had made Tabus and got enlightment in this Hill, some of them listed below.

There are eight Lingam around the hill in eight direction, they placed in 45 degree between each other is so accurate. The eight lingam from temple clockwise as follows.

Here Karthigai Deepam festival has been carried out for 10 days more famous, to make remembrance of Lord Siva had given half of His body to Goddess Parvati and Become Harthanariswarar in Karthigai month and in Kiruthigai day, hence this day has been celebrated as KARTHIGAI DEEPAM festive here.
