The kapaleeshwar temple was built in the 7th century as a dedication to Goddess Karpagambal the another form of parvathi.The temple is located in mylapore with large tank adjacent to the temple in the middest of Hot city.

This temple is 1100 years old, it has been built by the king Thoondaimaan when he conquer the kurumbars who ruled over here.While his return his elephant legs had been caught into the jasmine plants branches while king attempt by his sword to cut out this plants from that the blood came out.The shocked king look into the plants carefully, he could able to see lord Siva in this place.Upon gods grace he had built temple in this place.The chandira, kuselar, sun, brama, thuruvasar, indira, indirani, 27 astronal stars,Devamitran, sambudasn,chitrathanman had associated with this temple history.




PARTHASARATHY TEMPLE:
It is lord krishna temple.The word parthasarathy means charioteer, the famous character in Mahabharata.It has got nice pond opposite to this temple.Which accommodates lot of rain water and helpful to avoid flood near by temple in recent Chennai flood.

A VISIT TO MAMALLAPURAM SHORE TEMPLE IN TAMILNADU

A visit to Tikkri and Koraput to have Darshan of Lakshminarayana temple, Lord Jagannath and Maa moji gowri temple in Rayagada.

There are three ways to reach Koraput

1.From Rayagada via tikkri by train.
2.From Visakapattinam via Aruku by bus.
3.From Vizanagaram via aruku by bus.

I had choosen the first option to enjoy the nature beatuy from Rayagada to Koraput by train.From Rayagada as the train ascends through mountain the following station falls on the way
1.At o km distance Rayagada.
2.At 9th km Singapur Road
3.At 18th Km Ketuguda
4.At 33rd Km Sikarpai.
5.At 42nd Km Bhalumaska
6.At 59th Km Lellikuma
7.At 75th Km Rauli.
8.At 87th Km Tikiri
9.At 108 Km Laximipur Road
10. AT 123rd km Kakiriguma
11.At 135th Km Bariguda
12. At 149th Km Damanjodi
13.At 157th Km Dumuriput                                                                                                           14.At 167th Km Kpraput comes.
Since the tikiri is located at midway in our journey, the journey from Rayagada to tikiri through cluster of mountains a part and another part from Tikiri to korput.The distance of 167 km covered in 4 hrs on an average.Being worked in Rayagada i have been admired by the beauty of Keshipur range of mountains and its forest clad hills, the fog capped peaks during winter and gliding clouds cluster during monsoon season.
An altitude of 232 M. from Rayagada the journey starts through  hills from singapur road as the train glides through on the diesel locomotive wheels, the left side view of the hills and right side landscape with pady fields steal your heart until keutuguda station.The real hill claiming of 638 M height from here until it ends at Tikiri at an alitude of 832 M. The train ascends through many viaducts, 36 tunnels small and about 800 M stretch lengths, over the lofty bridges at the foot of the train in many places en-thrill you.
From Sikarpai to Bhalumasta the heady peaks at bothsides, entraning tunnel at many places stops your sense as your gliding through mothers harth.When the train stops at lilligumma the 10M. height located adjacent tiny railway station along the side ways of train marvelous to enjoy.From lilligumma to Rauli the deep valley and your left side some houses here and there and mountains at a height on right side  makes real wonders.
After rauli the paddy field landscape welcomes youuntil tikiri arrives.From tikiri station at right side on hill top you can see the Hanuman temple if possible visit there to get his grace.After tikiri the train almost surpasse in plain plateaus through elephant infested zones on the lap of the Laximipur pattangi mountain range through eastern ghats and reaches koraput.
