1300 years OLD SAMEDA MARKAPANTHA ISWAR TEMPLE AT VIRINCHIPURAM VIL. IN VELLORE DT.
This temple is one of the oldest temple in vellore dt. of tamilnadu in india.The temple is 1300 years old.The stone inscription in this temple reveals this truth.
The Sri Gowri, Visnu, Bramaha, Sri karan gods were made their ritual worship towards lord Siva here.

When lord Vishnu and Brahma try to see endless Siva feet and head they could able to succeed at Thiruvanamali. However the Brahma took flower which is fallen from lord iswar hair and told to Vishnu he had seen the head of Iswar.
The Brahma lie got curse from Iswar and ask him to take a birth in this soil.The Brahma took birth as SIVASIRMOON become son of sivanathan in this virinchipuram.Over the period after taking holy bath in this lion theertham located in this temple he has been affiliated to Brahma and come out curse of Siva from this temple.
