VISIT TO JALAGAMPARAI LORD ISWAR TEMPLE AT THE FOOT OF ELAGIRI HILLS

This temple is easily approachle from thitupattur in north arcot Dt of tamilnadu.It is located at foot of the elagiri hills.The buses too available directly from thirupattur at an average time intervals of every 1 hour.Since Elagiri is one of the tourist spot in this Dt. It has been called as Poor people Ooty.

From cheenai it is about 250km distance                                                                                while reaching vaniyambadi going towards 

thirupattur at a distance of 14 km the village Ponneri comes.From here those want to visit Elagiri hills can claim to hill top about 16km from ponneri.

Otherwise you can directly proceed to thirupattur upon reaching sacred heart college you can find just oppsite to the college gate  the road  whick leads to Jalagamparai water falls.From here about 19km to falls.

Right time to proceed this temple is monsoon period you can find from falls on hill top water goosing out around the temple. From temple sanctum you can have nice view of falls as shown in figure.
From the temp[le premises you can find breathtaking view of Elagiri hills on its midest the water with roaring sound alight from mountain top.The staicase route provided just opposite to the temple take you to water falls close by where you can take bath in falls water.Judge the water flow if you feel safer get in to the falls.While taking bath be careful some times heavy water flow came with fine stones from over flowing water from the Dam on hill top.

Here in this temple the Lord Muruga has been kept inside the Lingam shaped sanctam.The devotees came here make pooja and relax in shelter area provided.
